NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS ENGAGED IN UTILITIES CONSTRUCTION
(POWER, ENERGY & COMMUNICATIONS WORK)

Nature of the Application
The Utility Contractors Association of Ontario Inc. has applied for accreditation as an employers’ association pursuant to section 134 of the Labour Relations Act, 1995 for certain employers engaged in utilities construction in the Province of Ontario in all sectors of the construction industry save and except the industrial, commercial and institutional sector.
This Application affects all employers of employees engaged in utilities construction for whom the Labourers’ International Union of North America, Ontario Provincial District Council or any of its affiliated Local Unions, that is Labourers’ International Union of North America, (LIUNA) Locals 183, 247, 493, 527, 607, 625, 837, 1036, 1059, 1081 and 1089 hold bargaining rights that operate or may operate throughout the Province of Ontario in any sector of the construction industry save and except the industrial, commercial and institutional sector.
Responding Party
The Labourers’ International Union of North America, Ontario Provincial District Council is the Responding Party to the Accreditation Application.
A hearing will be held at 9:30 a.m., local time on Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in the Boardroom at the Ontario Labour Relations Board, 2nd Floor, 505 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.
