The Building Industry and Land DevelopmentAssociation (BILD) and Toronto and Region Conservation (TRCA) launched construction today on the Archetype Sustainable House at the Kortright Centre in theCity.
Together with municipal and provincial dignitaries,and more than 150 volunteers, the blitz construction will take place on thisstate-of-the-art facility over the course of only 17 days. The project consists of a semi-detached unit: the first house showcasingenvironmentally sensitive methods of building currently available and thesecond unit showcasing the future of building green.
The Archetype SustainableHouse will showcase one of the best in conservation, energy efficiency,renewable energy, and sustainable technologies of any house in North America.
